What should i expect when i get in touch?
If you call Chamberlain & Co to obtain advice on your financial situation be it personal or corporate, we will typically spend 45 minutes to an hour, free of charge, to ultimately resolve financial issues and distress.
Corporate
For corporate matters, we look to:
- explore your financial situation
- understand what pressure the business/sector is under
- see what stage you are at with trade creditors
- see how the business is performing e.g looking at profit and/or loss generated/incurred in recent months
From this, we will gain a good idea of the depth of the problems the business has and establish the likely outcomes of those issues. Chamberlain & Co will also give our preliminary views of what your options are.
The director or shareholder of the company will thereafter be able to go away and either try to implement the appropriate changes by themselves or choose to engage our services to work with them at a professional level through a range of insolvency processes.
Individual
Similarly, with individuals, Chamberlain & Co will again, free of charge, spend around 45 minutes to an hour understanding your finances.
For personal matters, we look into:
- how you came into this position
- what pressure you are under from creditors
- how you might most effectively defend your personal assets and income or utilise these as part of an offer to creditors to avoid enforcement/bankruptcy proceedings
We then will discuss the potential for informal management of the individual’s indebtedness and the available formal insolvency procedures, being either Bankruptcy or an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA). All consultations/telephone discussions are on a no obligation basis. Therefore you have the option to go away and think about your options.
